The tribal regions of Dang and Kaparada in Gujarat are home to communities that have preserved rich cultural traditions and strong social bonds, yet they continue to face multiple socio-economic challenges that limit access to opportunities.

The Challenge

Many families in these regions face seasonal migration for livelihood, forcing children to accompany them and disrupting their education. The long distances students must travel, especially for girls, creates physical and safety barriers to continuing education beyond primary levels.

Our Solution

ENLIFT Foundation is developing hostel infrastructure facilities that provide safe, stable, and supportive living environments for students from remote and migrant families. These hostels will:

• Provide secure accommodation for students
• Create learning-friendly ecosystems with study spaces
• Offer mentorship and academic support
• Ensure children remain in school despite seasonal migration

The Vision

In the remote heartland of Dang and Kaprada in Gujarat, thousands of bright and determined young students carry dreams of building better futures for themselves and their families. Yet, due to geographical isolation and lack of exposure, many remain unaware of the opportunities that could transform their lives.

Why This Initiative Matters

The tribal belts face serious challenges:

• Distance and Isolation: Poor transportation accessibility physically isolates these communities from mainstream educational hubs
• Lack of Awareness: Many young students have little or no information about competitive examinations and professional career pathways
• Absence of Guidance: Career counselling, mentorship, and structured preparation resources are almost non-existent

The Mission

Project TARINI is ENLIFT Foundation's transformative initiative dedicated to promoting menstrual health awareness, dignity, and environmental responsibility among adolescent girls and women. We work closely with schools, communities, and families to break the silence around menstruation and create a supportive ecosystem where girls can manage their menstrual health safely and confidently.

The Ground Reality

Despite progress in education and healthcare, menstrual hygiene awareness remains alarmingly low in many rural regions and tribal areas. This creates serious consequences:

• The Silence Penalty: Conversations are whispered or avoided, leaving young minds vulnerable to misinformation
• Unhygienic Alternatives: Lack of awareness pushes many girls toward unsafe practices, increasing health risks
